Good call - Visual Studio and the .NET Runtime are a LOT happier if you run the unblock over and binaries that you download before you run them. I forget this ALL the time and end up having to delete my expanded folder, unblock the Zip, then re-extract.

Thanks!

Finally got a chance to look at this. As it turns out, Enum.GetNames is only supported in the full .NET Framework (i.e. WPF). It is NOT present in Silverlight 3, Silverlight 4 or Windows Phone 7.

See http://forums.silverlight.net/forums/p/22339/78707.aspx for more information

I haven't gone down the MEF path yet with WP7. That is an interesting question... I think I'd probably still use the Locator, but instead of doing what the code snippets help it to do, I'd replace that code with MEF. That way, the locator can still serve the purpose of managing ViewModel lifetimes as well as being the "blendable" bit for data binding to the DataContext properties... Make sense?

If you are using MEF, would you still use the locator class? I could see using MEF inside the locator but that seems useless. Seems like you could skip the locator class and instead use MEF as an IOC container and doing dependency injection into the View's contructor. Does this sound like the right approach with MEF? If so, it still seems like you should plan on setting the DataContext in XAML (Like Laurent put in his comment section) so that Blend can know about my ViewModel. Does this sound right
